CEATEC 2011: Control devices without touch






company. Murata Manufacturing. developed a motion sensor that lets you control the device with simple finger movements without touching the surface of the screen. The new technology was presented at the exhibition. CEATEC 2011. in Japan.
These sensors can be used in smart phones, gaming platforms and Tablet PCs. Work with them as possible with wet hands and wearing gloves. The sensor measuring 5 x 4.5 x 1.2 mm consists of three infrared -emitting element and a light receiving element. The sensor picks up the signal at a distance of 20 cm from the screen.
New sensors in the near future, a substitute for proximity and light, used by most modern smartphones.
